There are a number of different ways that we can help you to resolve a problem.
We don’t tell you what to do, but explain your options and the possible outcomes of different courses of action.
You are encouraged to make your own decisions and act on your own behalf.
We enable you to manage your own problems by focusing on your needs as an individual.

We offer detailed information and advice on:

DEBT WORRIES
MONEY MANAGEMENT
CLAIMING BENEFITS
HOUSING PROBLEMS
EMPLOYMENT CONCERNS
CONSUMER QUESTIONS
TAX QUERIES
IMMIGRATION ISSUES
FAMILY AND PERSONAL MATTERS

We work to inform you about the law and how it affects you, and about yoyr rights and responsibilities.

We want to support you as you tackle independent living, and guide you through the pitfalls.

We aim to influence those responsible for policies and services by bringing to their attention the problems young people experience, and recommending changes.

We can:

- Interview you face-to-face and by phone to find out what the problem is.

- Access our regularly updated electronic information database for up to the minute information.

- Help you to negotiate with companies or service providers such as creditors or to appeal against decisions, for example, social security benefit claims.

- Write letters or phone companies and service providers on your behalf.

- Help you prioritise your problems, for example, to sort out which debts are most important.

- Help you with form filling, for example, to claim for social security benefits.

- Refer you to CAB specialist caseworkers for complex problems or to other agencies when appropriate.
