Learners will be working on current vehicles and getting to grips with all the latest diagnostic equipment and technology. As well as carrying out servicing and tuning they will also learn how to replace components using specialist equipment. They will learn how to diagnose faults and perform routine maintenance. Training will be through a local college, which will be attended once a week. Remits assessors will also visit learners to carry out their workshop training. However, some specialisms will be carried out in house through Remit assessors and apprentices will not need to attend college.
