Voice of Asian Young People

Who is it for?

This group is for all Asian young people in between the age group of 13- 19 yrs who want to air their views and feel dont get enough chance to do that in the Loughborough area. New members are always welcomed.

What does it do?

Trevor (Area Co-ordinator, North Area Office) has been keen to set up a group in the Loughborough area like this for quite some time, and his colleague Rekha took this forward and is the founder of "The Voice for Asian Young People" (started in September 2006).

The group aims to represent young asian views from the Loughborough area at groups such as the County Youth Council for Leicestershire, and also to voice their concerns at a more local level.

The young people who attend also get the opportunity to take part in residentials, and also field trips to the likes of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

When is it?

The sessions for this group run on Wednesday nights at the Fearon Hall between 5:30pm and 8:00pm.
