Tokyo Pop Anime Re con

As I arrived at the library, I saw a mixture of people walking in. Eventually, I found out where abouts the anime re con was being held in the library. Down the stairs, I found a gathering of people and a spokesperson. Some people did cosplay, dressing up as their favourite or original anime/manga characters. People's artwork were pinned onto red boards for others to look at. In the corner were the "freebies," free anime/manga merchandise. Manga books were on sale and there was free food and drink plus an Nintendo DS and Wii for everyone to have a go at new games.
The spokesperson started off with a presentation on new releases from Tokyo Pop including new Nintendo games. Then everyone was given a piece of paper, where we had to circle answers to questions on manga and vote for our favourite piece of artwork on display. Then all the cosplayers stood at the front with a number, telling us their name and who they were dressed up as. The spokesperson then marked the sheets and allowed people to play a game of bowling on the Wii.
After an anxious wait, the winners of the quiz, artwork and cosplay were announced. The winner of the quiz won a Nintendo DS and game. The winner of the artwork had drawn a stunning picture of L from Death Note and the winner of the cosplay were a pair who were chained together like L and Light are from Death Note.
It was a very enjoyable evening and there will hopefully be another anime re con soon.
