Leicester Tigers

Tickets for Leicester Tigers Heineken Cup semi-final match against Toulouse (yes, the French!) this Sunday (24/04) at the Walkers ‘Crisp Bowl’ Stadium have sold out! Those of you, who managed to purchase tickets, should be in for a blinder of a game, when the two teams battle it out for a spot in the Heineken Cup Final against either Biarritz, or Stade Francais, who play this Saturday (23/04 obviously).

Tigers stormed through to face Toulouse after out scoring Leinster 29-13, in front of a full house at Lansdowne Road on Saturday, April 2nd. With points on the day coming from Ollie Smith and Daryl Gibson, both scoring a try a piece, and Andy Goode showing why he should be picked for the England team, with two conversions, four penalties and a drop goal; an impressive 19 points. But lets not forget the determined, but not up to scratch Leinster lads who scored a try through Shane Horgan, and eight points from the boot of fly half David Holwell.

Tigers will face Toulouse without power house Martin Corry, who elbowed Richard Hill in the head in last Sundays (17/04) Zurich Premiership match versus Saracens, at Vicarage Road. Corry will miss the next three games due to this incident after attending an RFU disciplinary hearing last Tuesday. Corry commented afterwards saying, "I feel that I have let the whole club down, especially the supporters, and all I can do is express my sincere regret." Leicester confirmed afterwards that they would not appeal.
Tigers will also be without ex England captain Martin Johnson, who picked up a yellow card in the same game last Sunday, after fighting with a Saracens player. Johnson has appeal against the yellow card, which would also see him miss the following three games. A Rugby Football Union (RFU) Disciplinary Panel will hear the appeal on Monday, April 25.
