The Clothes Show Live 2005

We got the privilege of going to the Birmingham NEC to see the clothes show live which the Jitty treated us to! As all girls should be spoilt rotten! The clothes show is the world’s largest and most entertaining fashion and beauty event. There were different coloured zones, which represented different fashion, hair and beauty companies.

The show included a catwalk with talented models showing the latest designer fashion this was based in the green zone/nokia fashion theatre. The show lasted for 45 minutes with 40 different models and dancers. Both models and dancers worked together to produce a catwalk we’ll never forget! Umberto Giannini styled the hair and Nars provided the make up. Both together gave the finishing touches to the outfits. There were both male and females models and dancers, so there! Men can enjoy fashion!

Then we went to the yellow zone, which was full of fast fashion, so we purchased lots of bargains, which is very important, as we’re both shopaholics. As us girls know fashion is always changing and always seems to burn a hole in our pockets. This zone was where you could purchase the fast fashion without spending too much money. There was also a Kiss music stage, which was blasting music out throughout the day with DJs and the latest chart toppers.
Next there was the purple zone, which was urban fashion, which focused on club wear, street wear and jeans wear. There were many different brands such as Golddigga, Dunlop, Paul Frank, Lambretta, Punky Fish, Kangol, Playboy and Pineapple. Showing the latest range of street wear. There was also a Nokia stand, which had the latest range of fashionable phones. Inside there was a boyfriend play pen, which was a place for couples to chill out and listen to music on the latest nokia phones. We really enjoyed walking through and scanning the latest gear!

The blue zone was jam-packed with high street brands that we all love. There were French connection; Hooch and Bench shops, which made you shop till you dropped. There was load of colleges from all over the country who were presenting their students work. There was a champagne bar courtesy of Eve magazine, which all the adults ran to refresh themselves to get ready for the pink zone extravaganza!

The pink zone was our favourite coz we love to pamper ourselves! There were top beauty experts from Rimmel London, Bourjois, Miners and Tigi, who were giving make up tips all through the day. There were a variety of beauty products available, from lippy to shaving products, especially from Superdrug! If you wanted you could get a total make over done by Umberto Giannini, which will make you look like a supermodel! Oral B, Braun and Venus Divine were trying out their products on people all day. We got a special kind of lotion put on our lips, which made our lips look plump. But we didn’t end up buying it because it was too expensive! We wanted too though! There were model scouts looking out for the next Kate Moss! Talking of make up, the models make up was divine and really did add to the effect of attitude but professional. Nars make up is used on the most famous celebrities and we got to see it modelled!

In conclusion we really enjoyed our day and even got some freebies. It was a really cool experience that we will never forget. And we will definately go again this year. Thanks to the Jitty team for giving us the pleasure of going to the Clothes Show Live, we have always wanted to go but never been able to.
