Sunflower FM

Oadby, Wigston and the neighbouring villages are preparing for a community radio station following the launch of plans by the areas community radio association.

The Sunflower Fm has gained official recognition from councillors and dignitorys at Oadby & Wigston Borough Council, when it was agreed that the stations plans will provide some good to the area.

Radio Station Manager, Mr. Boulter said "The Sunflower Fm is now recruiting community minded volunteers that would like to get involved with DJ'ing or reporting, we also need researchers, promotional assistants and sports reporters. Training will be provided in all areas if required".

Station Engineer Mr. Biddles went on to say "The stations new custom built studio is close to completion and we expect to be broadcasting on-line 24 hours a day within a few months and on FM shortly after.
