Youth Opportunity Fund
After the consultation a group of young people who access the youth club formed an action group and dedicated their time to fundraising for a total refurbishment of Shelthorpe Young People’s Centre.
“When we heard that the Youth Opportunity Fund could help to make this dream come true we set about finding out exactly what was needed for a total refurbishment and obtained quotes for building work, new flooring, equipment and resources for the centre”.

The total amount it came to was around £79,000.
The action group then had to present their funding proposal to a young panel called CYCLE, who thought their presentation was amazing and different.
After a few weeks of waiting we had a response to the funding bid………………..
……..We got the funding!!!
