This is a succesful hands-on practical project that has been going for over 6 years with hundreds of young people, both male and female taking part.

The project aims to make young people aware of the roles and responsibilities of looking after a baby or small child. After an induction session with both young people, parents / guardians the Simulated Infants can be taking home for the weekend. There is also the opportunity to take part in a residential, working with the Simulated Infants.

One young person was very surprised by their experience:

‘I didn’t think that it would be so demanding. No-way am I ready to become a parent I am too young.’
