Web browsers
Fed up of Internet Explorer or you want to see some competition, here's a list of some of the browsers we've tried.
Windows Browsers

Firefox is Internet Explorer's main competitor and is getting ever more popular every day. It has many similar feature to Opera such as tabs but lacks certain advanced features.

Opera is by far the best competitor to Internet Explorer albeit not as popular and is free. Opera also sells it's browser for mobiles, PDAs and PSPs. Opera is the first main stream free browser to pass the Acid2 test. Opera also has full voice recognision meaning you can execute commands with your PC's Microphone/Headset.

Netscape is similar to Opera in many aspects. It comes with Spyware and Adware Protection which to be fair is rather limited. The interface is poorly structured and often loading time can be comparable to those of Torpark. It's rumoured that Netscape Navigator will soon be discontinued as it's parent company has changed the direction of the Netscape subsidiary into a news and social website.

Torpark, based on Firefox, is a free web browser that allows you to to surf the internet anonymously by encryption. Torpark can be ran from a USB drive and doesn't require installation. Although secure, it can be slow.

Installed on all recent versions of Windows XP (service pack 2) and on Windows Vista by default makes Internet Explorer the most used browser worldwide. The browser was recently updated to include some features that others have had for years such as tabbed browsing. IE7 also includes a major increase in security compared with previous versions.
