Mario Kart DS

Mario Kart DS is the latest instalment from the Mario Kart series and it comes racing in on two screens. The moment I got this game I was immediately hooked and all of my friends were.

The game is very like its predecessors in the sense that there are a collection of 8 cup collections, containing 4 races and gaining in difficulty, classic characters and ability to play multiplayer. But this game is a step towards the future of handheld gaming as it is the first compatible game with NWFC (Nintendo wi-fi Connection) which bring in the ability to play against 3 other people across the globe.

There are also many other good new aspects, such as the mission mode, where you have to complete 8 pre-defined targets before progressing to the boss. If you are good enough then you can progress to an elusive 7th level, which is sure to test any gamer to the max.

Even though this Mario kart game is a lot more advanced that the other titles, it still has that special feeling that you can get from Mario kart games.
