Our theatre group is on Saturday mornings from 10.30 till 12.30 at the Fosse Arts Centre, Mantle Road Leicester, most of the students are from Bushloe school at the moment. We will cover all aspects of theatre including voice, characterisation and performance based on improvisation. Students will discover theatre history from Greek tragedies to modern farce and musicals including Shakespearian and Restoration theatre, in a fun, "learn by performance" way. Until the recent retirement of its principle Ann Payne, Lansdowne was based at The Y Theatre. I trained to the L.A.M.D.A. (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) syllabus with Ann and many Lansdowne students have gone on to work professionally in theatre and TV, myself included. I have worked for several Education Authorities as a session artist and Director of youth theatre. Lansdowne is unfunded and unfortunately costs will reflect this.

Classes will be £4 per week and it will be possible to pay for twelve weeks in advance at a cost of £40.

I will also be starting a class on Tuesdays for adults, 18 plus, I am waiting to hear if there is space available at Fosse.
