Heartbreak Kid (15)
Starring: Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghan, Jerry Stiller, Malin Akerman
The film is is a comedy staring Ben Stiller, all about a guy trying to find true love. The background on the character played by Ben Stiller (Eddie) is that he has always been afraid to take the "plunge". In other words he has always been afraid to get married. Then one day walking through town he tries to help a lady (Lila) who has just had her hand bag robbed.
They start to get along really well with their relationship progressing, eventually leading to them going out and so on. After a few months of courting each other they decide to get married with a road trip down to somewhere in Mexico. That is when he realises that he might had made a mistake on marrying this blonde women. When they reach their desitantion, they get their room sorted and make their way up. This is when he meets this young brown haired women who is on a family holiday because her parents are renewing there wedding vows.
Lila gets very badly sunburnt and that is when Eddie (Ben Stiller) starts to see alot more of Miranda (Michelle Monaghan). They get along and then he finds that this is the love of his life. They spend time together and get along really well for it all to end up in one big mess. Eddie has to sneak his way back into America to get back to find Miranda who lives in Mississippi to find out that she reciently got married.
After several years they meet again and fall in love. This is a love/comedy film with some adult scenes in it. Not many but there are a few. I wasn't expecting there to be any scenes in it like that but there was so be warned. It is definitely a film for anyone over the age of 15 and does have some adult jokes in it which you will laugh at but not everyone will get them. It is a film for both women and men. Im not too sure about the older folk around and definitely not for anyone under the age of 15. All in all a really good comedy which I would recommend to anyone over the ages of 15 to go and see.
