QUESTION - What is Graffiti Art?
It is a contradiction in terms:
Graffiti is an illegal act - art is not
QUESTION - Who are you?
My name is Darren Reynolds and I am a freelance artist with Graffman Incorporated. Some of my work can be viewed on

QUESTION - What do you do in your job?
I work with young people on projects such as graffiti art, murals, commissioned works (big and small) etc.

QUESTION - Are you involved with youth clubs/organisations? If so, how?
Yes, I work closely with a number of youth clubs/organisations, alongside work with the police and other agencies.

QUESTION - Young people today get a lot of bad publicity? What do you think of young people?
I cannot answer this generically as all young people are different. There is good and bad in everybody. Young people particularly need a voice - a means of expression - and adults should listen.
I enjoy,like and find it rewarding, working with young people. For some years I was a member of FUSION a group working with young offenders.

QUESTION - How does graffiti art give young people a voice?
It helps young people to form an identity. When producing a piece of art work their identity shines out and through it it gives them a means of artistic expression - a voice.
