There is also table tennis, play station, food and tuck. There is a chance to be a really involved club member or just chill and chat with the Youth Team.
If you want to talk to someone in confidence the Youth Workers are there to help and support you.
If you are interested you can just pop in on a Wednesday 7-8.30pm or call, text or email Tammy on 0116 2642316 or 07795450519 or tammyb1@countesthorpe.leics.sch.uk
Bowling Trip
Just before the summer holidays Glen Parva had their first trip. We all agreed to go bowling, especially as the shoe make such a fashion statement.
If you want to help plan trips why not visit the Youth Club, share your ideas and get involved!!!
Juniors
The new junior Youth Club has been running for nearly 4 months and keeps getting more and more members. Some of the older ones are hoping to become senior members and have been helping support others and run the club already.
The group have been working on Black History and Anti Bullying Sessions and hope to achieve Local Youth Awards for all their hard work. At the moment we are all letting off a bit of steam and planning a Christmas Party with fun food and Karaoke.
We still have great fun positive activities where young people can be with supportive Youth Workers. We always have food, tuck, arts, sports and activities. Your first session is always free so why not pop down and find out more. You can find us at the Memorial Hall, Dorothy Ave, Glen Parva.
October at Glen Parva

Nail Art was fantastic
Wow what a day!!! We had 43 Young People squeezed into Glen Parva Village Hall. It was fantastic if a little over whelming. There was smoke coming from the nail artist as one stage as she was having to work so fast.
Luckily some of the young people were able to relax with foot baths and face masks. For the more energetic there was bin bag fashion, face painting and body art.
To add more to the day we made mouse mats, toffee apples and glass painting. As the day was such a success we are now running several courses for Young People to take part in, these are:
· Babysitting
Begins Thursday 4th September 2008
(12 week course)
· Health and Beauty
Begins Monday 15th September 2008
(8 week course)
· Hair Care
Begins Monday 17th November 2008
(4 week course)
· Cooking and Food Hygiene
Begins Monday 12 January 2009
(8 week course)
All courses are term time only and each session is 50p or discounted for one off payments.

Half Term
Football Tournament
Over half term we ran a football against racism tournament at Huncote Leisure Centre. Our boys group put loads of effort in but were sadly defeated by what can only be described as a "semi-professional" team. The girls team showed strength and determination but had such a positive attitude that there were awarded the Fair Play Trophy.
Everyone took part on the 637 bus, sports, graffiti, DJ-ing and Giant Skipping. There were teams from all over Blaby and a great day was had by all.
Activity Day
We had another art activity day at Countesthorpe like the one at Easter. Bob and Jane organised loads of things to do like Glass Painting, sculpture and card making.
