Get Smart
Director: Peter Segal
Anne Hathaway,Steven Carell, Dwayne Johnson
KAOS have stolen personal details of all the agents in CONTROL. Agents 86 and 99 are paired up together when they find out KAOS is killing all the agents and to stop him taking over the world. Can the two seeimgly incompatible agents gel together and save everyone?
Get Smart is Hathaway’s first comedy film. At first I was a bit dubious as to whether she could pull it off but then I thought about her flexibility with characters and thought she could work it. And pull it off she did - with Steven Carell as her partner with the agency they work for, they make for an excellent main cast.
Although the comedy isn’t as Bruce Almighty-ish as I expected it was still a very funny film, the end was especially hilarious. Hathaway handled the humor and delivered her lines very well, but being the youngest person ever to attend The Barrow Group, an award winning acting program in New York, what do you expect?
The up beat music fitted in well with the scenes thet it’s placed with and the use of the Ode to Joy (Mozart) as a trigger and backing music works really well too. the only sentimental music is when everyone thinks a character has died
I enjoyed this film quite a lot and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about seeing it.
