Mail.com

I first turned to mail.com for email services after my Hotmail account became somewhat unmanageable from MSN sending me constant offers and receiving bulk chain mail. The initial appearance of the sight is honestly nothing spectacular and really doesn't boast the features of the site deservingly. The sign-up process is far faster than that of MSN or Google mail. First you’re asked to choose a domain name. Yep, no longer do you have to be stuck with an email address that makes you look unprofessional or somewhat noobish. Me being a Guitarist selected musician.org from a large list of options. After this, you’re presented with a standard mandatory information form and then you’re off!
The actual Email interface itself has one primary feature that makes it way better than its competitors: simplicity. You can locate all different sections of the interface rather quickly, so if you are the kind of person who is always in a hurry, this would benefit you greatly. The size limit is somewhat small in comparison to Gmail, but is still enough for the majority of people and should only cause you trouble if your going to store exorbitant amounts of files and pictures. Colour and display wise the inbox design is pretty much un-customisable, unlike Windows Live Mail, but I’ve found this hasn't really bothered me too much as visual nicety isn’t really what I look for in a email service.

To conclude, if your looking for a basic email system that allows you to execute actions quickly and efficiently but without the cosmetic design that mainstream users of MSN seem the thrive upon, then Mail.com is for you.
