

Every Child Matters affects all children from birth to 19, and aims to improve educational achievement and reduce the levels of ill health, teenage pregnancy, abuse and neglect, crime and anti-social behaviour.
It is intended to help children and young people achieve the five outcomes that matter most to them, their parents, and carers. These are:
Being healthy.
Staying safe.
Enjoying and achieving.
Making a positive contribution to society.
Social and economic well-being
The Childrens Act 2004 requires the County Council, working with partner agencies, to develop integrated services for Children, young people and families.
Young people’s rights - online survey : The government has launched an online survey for children and young people about their rights. The survey asks children and young people about their views and experiences of children's rights.
