England Vs Windies

It was nice to see England getting off to a winning start to their ODI series in the West Indies. A last burst from Chris Read, including 3 sixes, ensured Darren Dough could hit the winning runs. In a rain affected game that was reduced to 30 overs England won the toss and put West Indies in bat. The Windies reached 156-5 after their 30 overs, mainly dominated by an 84 from Shivnerine Chanderpaul. In England's reply, no-one took the lead role, and at
108-5, England fans feared the worst. But good knocks from Ian Blackwell and Read gave England the victory. Although England got off to a good start, their series has come to a stop after the last 3 games have been abandoned due to rain. Hopefully there will be some good weather soon.
