Doctor Who
I think that Doctor Who has gone down hill. I started watching some of this series and it was gripping at the start but now it has lost interest.
The Doctor is a time lord who flies through time in his Tardis saving many different planets and solar systems. He is an alien with two hearts and so if one dies he may be able to survive and jump-start his second.
He always finds a new companion as he is the only time lord left so he gets very lonely and so grabs hold of anybody he can. He is so desperate that he has gone to the extent of hiring Catherine Tate’s character, Donna Noble, as his new companion for the entire duration of the next series to come. (The new 4th series)
The first series was released on BBC 1, it has been on for many years and there was even a television film released in 1996, who would honestly watch an entire film on a strange man who jumps in and out of a police box? It’s almost like he is trying to be superman jumping in and out of a phone box but he thinks he’s better because it’s blue!
There have been a couple of spin-offs from Doctor Who, such as Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. I’ve not seen any of these but surely a spin-off of Doctor Who has got to be even worse.
This completely programme has, shockingly, won many rewards such as Writers' Guild of Great Britain award for Best Writing in a Children's Serial, Doctor Who was voted as the "Best Popular Drama" the corporation had ever produced, Doctor Who was also voted as the "Best Popular Drama" the corporation had ever produced and many more.
