September Update

At this meeting Sally Brooks came along from the police who deals specifically with drugs. She was able to offer the group some drugs awareness training. The group felt that it would be most beneficial to extend this training to other young people with the PoP who are also tackling the issue of drugs. At the moment we are working on setting a date for this training.

With regards to anti-social behaviour, it has been suggested that we try a "positive campaign". The idea of the is to publicise facts about have few young people are involved in anti-social behaviour. For example, The could be a sign on the side of a bus that says "97% of young people DONT commit crime". The group felt that this was a good idea as they said that from their experience anti-social behaviour is as much about perception as anything else. We will be hoping to liase with another office from the police to discuss this idea further.
