The Team
Leader
Luke
Hi, I'm Luke and i am the leader. My job comes with lots of responsibilities such as running meetings, putting agenda's together, making sure everyone is on task and so much more. I work closely with all the other youth councillors to make sure that everything gets done correctly. I make sure that everyone is on task and that everyone is involved. Aswell as all of this, i also like to make sure that meetings are enjoyable for everyone!
Web Officer
Michael
Along with the support my fellow youth councillors, i am responsible for updating all of our web pages. This role includes things such as uploading documents and keeping people up to date with when we have meetings and events.
Promotions and Publicity Team
Angel, Luke, Louis and Rachael
Our job is to work as a smaller sub group of the Youth Council to make sure that we are getting all of the appropriate media coverage and attention we need to promote ourself and our events around the borough. We also work together to produce articles to go into local newspapers and magazines and special articles to go onto all of our websites.
Discovering Charnwood Team
Zoe and Karishma
Our job is to make sure that the whole of Charnwood Borough can be involved in the Youth Council and other activities for young people rather than focusing on one area. We go out to smaller towns and villages in Charnwood to help get them involved and to help give the young people of those areas a voice.
Events and Trips Team
Amy, Anjli, Michael and Teresa
Our job is to organise and plan any events and activities that the youth council may run/take part in. An important part of our role is to work closely with the Recruitment & Support and Finance teams to make sure that all activities are accessible and value for money. We organise events such as our annual conference and Pride of Charnwood awards.
Recruitment and Support
Rhea and Sylvan
Our Job is to help with the promotion of the youth council to encourage more young people to get involved. We work with other young people to support them with activities and get more young people to become youth councillors.
Finance Team
Charlie
My job is to keep track of all of our finances. I have to check what is coming in and going out of our accounts. I am also responsible for making sure that everything we do or buy is value for money. This is an important role within the youth council to make sure that we dont overspend.
UKYP Representative
Karishma
Hi, Im Karishma and im a UK Youth Parliment representative for Charnwood. I help the group with issues that may not be just focused with Charnwood and may be issues in other parts of the country. I work close with CYCLe and UKYP to ensure that all issues are looked at.
CYCLe Representatives

We are the County representatives on the Youth Council, our job is to go to county level main meetings to keep up to date on what is going on around the rest of Leicestershire, we also feed back about what is going on in our area to the rest of the county level members. Some of us also help to represent Leicestershire at UKYP regional meetings.
