Co-ordinates a national network of self-help groups so that people can share experiences and coping strategies with others in similar situations. An information pack is available upon request. The Bullying Intervention Group (BIG) is a social enterprise set up to adminster the Bullying Intervention Group Award. On their website is also some help, guidance and resources for dealing with bullying.
Throwing Stones
The project which became 'Throwing Stones' was conceived by Leicestershire police in 1995 after a series of abusive racist incidents on a housing estate in Leicester. The targets of this abuse were mostly Asian women taking their children to a local school. Those responsible for the incidents were children and young people who lived locally, almost all of them white children.
SMST
