Whitwick Youth Club

Whitwick Youth Club had previously been based by the Market Place in Whitwick for over 20 years. However, plans to develop where the youth club was based in 2008 gave an opporunity to build a a new, state-of-the-art clubhouse. Finally, after a great deal of discussion, applications for planning and grants, meetings with Council Leaders the doors to the new build finally opened to the public in September 2010. Its new home site is now on North Street park, Whitwick.

Whitwick Youth Club is a generic club which operates twice a week Mondays and Wednesdays for local Young People age 11 – 19. The building has a new pool table, table tennis, comfortable seating , kitchen area + connect.

Staff and young people offer a broad curriculum with discussons/topics ranging from the issues of the time; i.e. education, employment, sexual health, drugs and self esteem.

Activities also include cooking and healthy eating, arts and crafts, team building, ASDAN Accreditation, all which are tailored to the needs of young people.
