The Leicester Phoenix Youth Chorale is a group of 3 choirs that have sang for many many years. With our well known patron David Lawrence and conductor Willard Welsford, we have performed in a wide variety of venues, including citys such as Cardiff and Huddersfield. We even have annual residentials at King's Park in Northhampton to prepare for special concerts and to have lots of fun; we usually have 3 big concerts a year.
This choir consists of three choirs: boys, girls and seniors. People aged 7-24 years can join in the fun of this choir and we sing a wide variety of music to suit everyone's tastes. We NEED more young male and female singers aged 14-24 for our S.A.T.B senior choir (particularly males!). We rehearse every Tuesday evening during term time at Guthlaxton College, Wigston. Rehearsals for the boys and girls are 6-7:30pm and the Seniors rehearse 7:30-9:15pm.
We are currently preparing for our next big concert at St. James the Greater in Leicester on Saturday 17th April at 7:30pm. If you are interested in becoming a part of this exciting oppurtunity, then you are certainly most welcome. Why not check out our website to find out how to be involved: Phoenix Website . We even have a group for any of you facebook users: Facebook Page
