About Us
Hi Club is a youth club for hearing impaired young people aged 11- 25 yrs from across Leicestershire County. The group started in 2008 when the Specialist Teaching Services and Leicestershire County Council Youth Service created a partnership to provide various youth opportunities for hearing impaired young people.
Since 2008 we have 40 registered young people and provide monthly youth sessions, trips and visits. We have been on some amazing trips such as National Space Centre, Alton Towers, Ice- skating, Thinktank, Imaxx Cinema and High ropes course just to name a few. Our Shelthorpe* sessions are well attended and we have exciting youth activities each session that are planned by the young people.
Hi Club welcomes new members and if you attend on your own you will leave knowing you have made friends. Our sessions at Shelthorpe Young People's Centre are open to any hearing impaired young people from across the County.
We are currently planning to set up a monthly youth session in the South and West area of the County, so please watch this space :)
