Free & Confidential
Advice and Support

The Chat Zone is a Free and Confidential health service for young people aged 13+ and is open to all young people in the Thurmaston and Syston areas and not just school students. It was established because there was no sexual health service for young people in this area. However the Chat Zone covers various aspects of health, relationships and other issues that young people face today and not just sexual relationships.

Young people aged 13+ can drop in to the Chat Zone and talk to any of the workers, pick up leaflets and information, and receive advice and support on any concerns they may have, in their personal life. These could include issues like drugs, family matters, contraception, alcohol, smoking, depression, and eating disorders to name but a few. The Chat Zone also offers pregnancy testing and condom training and provision free of charge.
