Hi I'm Poppie and I'm the Treasurer. My job involves things like keeping the accounts and advising on the forum's money. I work closely with the Chair as they will at some point need to come to me to see if a certain event is viable. On a regular basis I give a budget report back to the forum so it is necessary that i can be honest and trustworthy. There is a lot more to my job but I think I've gone on for long enough I think you have the general idea!
Hello, I’m Tawonga. It’s my job as secretary to write minutes – which is basically all the things that take part during the meeting. I also draft letters that need drafting, I make sure things like leaflets and questionnaires get to the right people at the right time. To be able to do my job you need to have good communication skills, good technological skills, ability to write and type fast, access to a computer, be able to spot mistakes easily, be able to spell, you need good listening skills and you need to be aware of what is going on. Though there are a lot of things I need to do and a lot of people I need to support, for example The Chair (Bryony), its all worth it because I love my job.
My job is to keep the jitty up to date including minutes,dates and news. write articles when the youth forum needs them doing. Generally in charge of the youth forum's public,image and rasing the profile so that more people know about the forum. and I LOVE THIS JOB!!
Hi I’m Connor! I’m the Communications Officer of Blaby. Comms for short. My role as Communications Officer involves keeping everybody in contact with each other. I am also the Publicity Officer for Blaby. I'm in charge of the publicity material from leaflets and postcards to promotional DVDs and accessories. and finally My job as Press Officer involves dealing with the press (newspapers, radio etc)– getting them to our events like Battle Of the Bands, the Voice of Young Peoples’ Conference, and also to put in general good news about the Youth in Hinckley and Bosworth (to show that the youth aren’t bad people at all).
Hi my name is Matt and i am the events officer. I organise events such as the Conference and Residential Trips. As well as fun trips for the youth forum.
