Twang Archery Club

New for Tuesday lunch times at Brockington College is the Twang Archery Club. This activity runs from the Youth Centre and is run by Darren Smith (Responsible Youth Worker).

Darren successfully gained his Archery Leader Certificate in March 2007. This followed a 4 day training course which was organised by the Leicestershire County Youth Service.

The foundation of this group follows a successful funding bid to buy archery equipment for the Youth Centre which was raised by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award group.

The aim (sorry about the pun) of this activity is for members of club to use the archery towards gaining an Adventure Service Challenge Award.

It is hoped that those that attend on a Tuesday lunch time will come back on Wednesday afternoon after school and take part in the A.S.C. activities
