Name: Ichigo "Strawberry" Kurosaki
Age: 15 years old
Hair: Orange
Eyes: Brown
Special Skill: He can see ghosts

Ichigo Kurosaki has been able to see ghosts since he can remember. Having this special skill hasn't really changed his life, but when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society, his life does change.

Whilst Ichigo attempts to protect his family from a Hollow (an evil spirit that preys on humans with high spirit energy) Rukia lends some of her Soul Reaper powers to Ichigo. However to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs all of her spirit energy. This makes Ichigo a full Soul Reaper himself.

Now Ichigo must do Rukia's job while she slowly regains her Soul Reaper powers. Ichigo must protect the innocent from Hollows and put the spirits to rest in peace. He quickly understands that the world is full of dangerous spirits.

Created by Tite Kubo, Bleach is 32 volumes long (February 2008), still ongoing. 22 volumes have been released in America (February 2008). Bleach has been a big success. It has even been made into an anime which is 161 episodes long (21st February 2008). Bleach has also been made into: computer games, a musical and merchandise. The manga received an award for it's Shonen title in 2005.

Bleach is a Shonen jump manga and is recommended for teens and above. The genre of Bleach is: fantasy, action and supernatural fiction. I think that this manga is suitable for anyone to read and is very comical. Bleach has quite a lot of cliffhangers too, tempting readers to carry on. I think that Bleach has a strong storyline and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to read a fantastic manga series.
