Witch Child

Witch Child is a compelling unusual book and really is my favourite of all time, the storyline is incredible, I say storyline when in fact it is real life diary entries that were found sewn inside a mattress.

It all starts when Mary who is currently living with her witch grandmother begins to worry people suspect her grandmother is a witch.. unfortunately her suspicions are right and her grandmother is hanged.

Mary longs to leave as now everyone suspects she is a witch ,so she travels over a long period by ship with man others who wish to flee from England to New England where English settlers had set up small towns and villages, they head to find the place where the followers of their Christian religion had settled (Mary has had to pretend she is Christian so she is not found out to be a witch !)
The story brings many magical and odd events, however every time you try to put the book down it is just irresistible.

This book would suit people aged in their teens although many other ages may still enjoy it ! The author Celia Rees has put so much effort , thought , and time into writing Witch Child and editing the story for the modern reader.

This book is worth the buy and I can assure you will enjoy ,I personally rate this book 10/10 truly brilliant !
