U2 are an Irish rock band that have been very successful (so successful that they were given a whole hour on BBC Radio One) formed in 1976 in Dublin. The band consists of Bono (vocals and guitar), The Edge (guitar, keyboard and vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar) and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion).
The band have sold around 175 million albums worldwide , with six #1 albums in the U.S. and nine #1 albums in the UK. They have won 22 Grammy Awards, the most of any rock artist.
They have done many albums which include Boy (1980), War (1983) and How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb (2004).
I like this album U2 have recently put together. It is their most successful singles into one, including a most recent song, The Saints Are Coming, which they collaborated on with Green Day.
My favourite is Pride(In The Name Of Love). I like how the guitar is played and the vocals as well. It was #3 in the UK, when it was released in September 1984.
I like all the songs on this album. If you love rock and U2's 21st century songs, you'll love this recent album filled with U2's greatest songs including the almost universally known "Beautiful Day" (and if you don't know it where have you been all these years!?) which was covered by the European "Champion" Pop Idol Kurt Nilsen, and the popular "Elevation".
