Transformers

Starring: Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Hugo Weaving, Reno Wilson, Charles Adler, Jimmie Wood, Jess Harnell, Robert Foxworth, Darius McCrary, Mark Ryan, Peter Cullen, Tyrese Gibson.

Michael Bay, who brought you Bad Boys and Peal Harbour, has released his latest stunner Transformers. Now most people wouldn’t see this because it is based on a horrifically bad cartoon. However Michael has really done his homework and pulled out all the stops on this one.

In a quest to find the Allspark (a magical cube) that grants unlimited ultimate power to whoever possesses it, located on earth, the Autobots (good) and the Decepticons (bad) must battle it out to locate the map then find the Allspark. The Autobots get help from Spike Witwicky and his girlfriend. But the Decepticons leader Megaton was frozen on his last quest to find the cube but is soon defrosted… This leaves the Autobots leader, Optimus Prime and his band of robots with a big problem on their hands.

This movie is the hit of the century; blink and you will miss something, action packed from the first second to the last, but with all of these computer-generated robots, what will the graphics be like, will the robots looks tacky? Not a chance, the graphics are so good Megatron could be standing outside your front door. The storyline, fantastic as it may be, is quite confusing, so if you have to nip to the loo its almost certain that you will lose the plot.

I rate this movie 4* and its only fault is the crazy story line and the length of the movie itself. But otherwise great all the way through, definitely worth a £5 Cinema ticket.

Second Opinion

Transformers went from a action figure which was a must have for every kid, to a cartoon, which again was a must see for kids everywhere, and now it hits the big screen of your local cinema, Transformers are back and they are bigger then ever as its now a must see for everybody.

Michael Bay has really out done himself this time, he was responsible for the success of his other two films, Bad Boys & Pearl Harbour. Pearl Harbour was a massive hit with people everywhere heading down to see it, and was amazing, Bad Boys was also a brilliant success and now he takes a major step in the film industry with his next project which is none other then Transformers.

His use of great actors and his great direction of the film has really made this film what it is today, it’s a must see everywhere, with the action non-stop in this film, the adrenaline rush is phenomenal for everyone who sits in front of that screen to watch it, Megan Fox who played the character of Mikaela Banes, really gave us a brilliant performance, this was here first major film and what a job she has done, for here first performance in a major film like Transformers has really set the bar for other actresses.

Shia LaBeouf who played the character Sam Witwicky also showed us a brilliant performance in this film, and even brought a bit of comedy to the film, which is great, because then its not all about the fast paced, action packed film, it does have the funniest moments ever in the film.

Sam Witwicky is a young teenager who buys his first car, but this is no ordinarily car, this is one of the Autobots, but he does not know it, at times the car plays up and starts chasing after Sam, Sam is scared for his life and starts to run, but as he runs into the cops, the cops is not who he thought they were, its one of the Decepticons, and its transforms into the Robot and he wants the glasses of his great grandfather, Archibald Witwicky, but Sam escapes and then chaos consumes the entire city with both the Autobots & the Decepticons wanting this cube called the Allspark, the Decepticons want it badly and want it to destroy the human race, but the Autobots are different they want it off the planet so human race can go on, who gets it? Well you have to watch it and see for your very eyes.

The film is brilliantly directed and feature the most amazing moments ever seen in the film industry and this film has set the standards for future films to level up to, other directors and producers have a lot of work to do to make their films bigger and better then the ever famous Transformers.

Transformers was so brilliant and successful that even Transformers 2 is coming soon, still in fliming and set for a release on 24 June, 2009 featuring Shia LaBeouf & Megan Fox and of course the brains behind the film, Michael Bay returns and will surely give Transformers fans another great taste of the legend that is known as Transformers.
