Sum 41 Underclass Hero

Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards)
Cone McCaslin (bass guitar, backing vocals)
Steve Jocz (drums, percussion, backing vocals).

Who said New age punk was rubbish!? Well this album from the dynamic trio certainly proved them wrong.

Underclass Hero is definately weirder and slightly slower than “ Does This Look Infected?” but it is a lot better. There is a song on there to suit you no matter what mood you are in. For example “Speak Of The Devil” if your feeling slightly sad, or “March Of The Dogs” if you're in a hyperactive mood.

The album opens up with the song "Underclass Hero" which sets the scene for what’s to come, and it’s quite a fast song so the album slows down towards the middle (like most albums). But it has a hell of a finish, with “So Long Goodbye” followed by “Take A Look At Yourself” which make you want to listen to it over and over again.

Sum 41 in some respects can be compared to the amazing Sex Pistols, this is because they have that “I don't care what anybody thinks attitude” which makes them what they are today.

I would recommend this album to anybody into punk and slower rock music because I think it is the best album of the century. And I rate it top of my 113 album collection.
