When a manager decides to take his employees on a teen building weekend I bet he never imagined they would be fighting for their lives. The director of Creep , Christopher Smith, delivers a gritty satire film guaranteed to fulfil any horror-loving film buff.
As a coach of office workers head up into the mountains on the border of Budapest they are unaware they are about to embark on a howling mission to escape unharmed from a deadly enemy. The seven workers from a International weapons manufacturer stumble across what they think is their weekend lodge but is in fact a old army lodge where a forgotten army of criminal soldiers are lurking in the darkness.
This total blood-fuelled massacre has shocking elements that keep you wondering whose going to die next. However, the film lacks a pulse because there’s no edge to it to give you a fright when you least expect it. There are times when you may jump a little in your sit but nothing more than a quiver.
Although, there’s no doubt that this film tries its hardest when it comes to severed legs. You will see all the gory details wrapped in this tightly wrapped plot of a vengeance of the demented criminal soldiers. They are out to kill anyone who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and they certainly make sure the person suffers. From flaming guns to bear traps they will try anything to kill them.
So, a final thought, this film is not for the faint hearted but more for thrill-seeking movie fanatics. On the other hand, if you missed it you won’t necessarily be missing out. In my opinion, there are better films in this genre but I do think there use of gore and death deserves a thumbs up.
