Now returning for its ninth year, DMH’s Summer Sundae Weekender is set to hit Leicester by storm this summer, bringing the best of musical talent to the city with headlining acts to include The Streets, The Charlatans and The Zutons. With six stages, showcasing over 100 musical, comedic and literary acts, the festival has something to offer everybody.
The Main, Indoor and Rising stages will play host to the likes of the Mystery Jets, Saint Etienne, Bon Iver and local musical talent. The Musician stage will be showcasing the best in roots and acoustic music artists including Imelda May, and for the comedy fans amongst you, check out the best sketches and stand up from comedians such as Ray Peacock at the EFestivals comedy stage. Finally, the Phrased and Confused Stage will play host to the likes of Woodpigeon and Stuart Silver, amongst other poets and wordsmiths.
With the quiet sanctuary of The Garden, a highly acclaimed Kidzone, a film tent, the brand new Silent Disco, indoor flushing toilets, camping in the beautiful Victoria Park, and an array of stalls selling everything from pizza to panpipes, the Summer Sundae Weekender is THE festival to get tickets for this summer.
Not only this, but Summer Sundae holds the Greener Festival Kitemark for being environmentally friendly- all festival goers are encouraged to travel to the event using eco-friendly means of transport, and rubbish is collected and recycled on site by the Complete Wasters team of voluntary litter-pickers.
