Exciting times ahead for health services

Hi. My name is Kate O'Farrell and I work for Connexions Leicestershire. At the moment I am also doing some really exciting work for the Families, Young People and Children's division (FYPC) of Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT).
LPT deliver health services in the community and their FYPC division is responsible for a whole range of areas including
- School nursing
- Health visiting
- CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services)
- Support for children and young people with learning disabilities
- Drug and alcohol services
- Help with stopping smoking
and lots lots more……………
FYPC want to make sure that all the people who use their services (whether they are families, young people or children) have the opportunity to have a genuine say on how these services are run. They are currently developing a strategy to work out how they can best do this over the next three years.
There will be lots of opportunities for you to get involved and have your say by
- contributing to consultations and research
- helping to recruit staff
- attending meetings
- giving your opinion on policies and procedures
Fantastic chance to gain some great skills and experience for CV's and application forms!
So apart from the fact that I am Jamie Oliver's biggest fan I think that's all you need to know about me and FYPC for the time being!!
But keep your eyes peeled for me popping up again on The Jitty very soon!
