Kaiser Chiefs

7:30pm: Arena is about half full of standing and sitting people. Before we knew it, a rock/punk support band called the Good Shoes came on. They performed some of their songs and had some lighting effects present. A few of the standing crowd enjoyed it whilst more people started to arrive.
8:15pm: Arena is 3/4 full; becoming a lot busier and livelier. Then the Pigeon Detectives performed. In my opinion, I thought these were a lot better than the Good Shoes. I think that the Pigeon Detectives are known very well. The crowd was more enthusiastic and lighting was amazing. A very good support act.
8:45pm: Arena is now full! People start to chuck paper planes as they wait anxiously for the big act. A couple of Mexican waves worked successfully.
9:15pm: In the dark, a huge banner was lifted and bright lights flashed across the arena. After the anxious wait, the Kaiser Chiefs were there on stage, and you could see all 5 of them on screens above the stage. They came in performing Everything is Average Nowadays. An amazing entrance!
The Kaiser Chiefs performed songs from both of their albums, including Ruby, Retirement, Every Day I Love You Less And Less and I Predict A Riot. Another songs they performed was Take My Temperature. All of their songs were performed astonishingly; they even performed some new songs they have wrote.
The Kaiser Chiefs left the stage and of course, it was an encore. They ran back on and performed Love's Not A Competition and Thank You Very Much.
Overall, the concert was absolutely outstanding with incredible lighting. The lead singer even let the crowds touch him and he somehow got to the lighting platform in the middle of the standing people. This was my first proper gig and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone who likes the Kaiser Chiefs, I highly recommend you see them if they go on tour again!
