Example Review

Wednesday the 8th of March could have been one of the best nights of my life, the one and only Example took the stage at the Leicester O2 for the first time. Who were the support acts? Should you watch out for them? Is Example really that good? Well this is the place to find all the answers to them very important questions.
Neon Hitch the first support act walked out on to the stage, there were a small number of cheers as they were not well know, then the music started the lights flickered, the singing started and the crowd looked like an ocean with rapidly shifting waves. The crowd were going mad. With a unique style Neon had a slight resemblance to Paloma Faith with a Kylie Minogue'esque voice paired with a dance theme, and with dance moves like Shakira what more could you ask for? Neon Hitch did not just give a show, they gave an outstanding performance. With a single already released on to iTunes and the band currently working on their first album which is said to be released later on this year I think this band is definitely an act to look out for and should be hitting the charts very soon.
The next support act was Wretch 32. Even with the hit Traktor in the charts, he was still hardly noticed by the audience who were still going wild. With unique covers of well know tracks such as 'For the First Time' and a few other hits that the audience could sing along to. With a massive energy the audience could feel from the moment he hit the stage until the second he left. If he keeps the energy and the uniqueness of his voice, this band will go far and should be returning to Leicester with his own tour. Keep your eyes peeled for this group currently working on their second album which is also set to be released this year.
With crowd chanting “Example Example Example”, the lights go down and three men walk on to the stage the crowd look and think who the heck are they?
Then the lights go down further so the arena is almost pitch black the music starts then the one and only Example comes running out, the crowd goes wild starting with the track 'From Space' the audience are screaming the lyrics the energy of the audience gets bigger the crowd starts going crazy, the lights flashing with every beat.
After playing all of his well known songs from his latest album, the legend then played exclusive tracks and welcomed a fellow artist onto the stage and gave a premiere of therir new collaboraborative track 'Orthodox' which is definitely a song that should be listened out for in the near future.
The lights go out and Example leaves the stage, the crowd are confused “what’s he doing? Is that it?” were the words on some people lips, and then the crowd started chanting again “encore, encore, encore”. Nothing happened. Was he going to come running back out or was that really it? People started to leave the arena. The lights started to flicker and out came running Example with a brand new track never heard before which follows the usual conventions of his tracks the song 'Change The Way You Kiss Me' is another track that is to be listened out for. Will this man ever bring a bad track out, I think not, will he ever fall down from his high ranking and become another has been, I think not.
With high energy the whole way through with no room to improve, this was not just a concert it was more like a panto with a huge amount of audience participation, he is definitely an act to see this year, headlining a number of festivals such as Creamfields and Wireless. Example is a man that definitely knows what he wants, a man that can control the stage and audience like a puppet master playing on the audience's strings. With a voice that sounds exactly like it does on the album.
