Posted by Hunter on Tue, 15 Jun 2010.
To celebrate its vibrant new autumn season, Curve has taken inspiration from Willy Wonka and hidden a limited number of Gold and Platinum tickets inside special leaflets being distributed across the county at the end of June. There will be 100 Gold and 5 Platinum tickets delivered to homes, and those lucky enough to discover one will win VIP treatment at the opening nights of upcoming shows at the new Leicester theatre.
Gold ticket winners will be treated as VIP guests and receive a pair of top price tickets to the opening night of three of Curve’s home-produced shows:
VERTICAL ROAD, a World Premiere by acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan
THE KING AND I, the lavish Christmas musical, directed by Paul Kerryson
TRANSLATIONS or MOLLY SWEENEY during the FESTIVAL OF FRIEL, which will celebrate the work of great contemporary playwright, Brian Friel.
As well as this, winners will also be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre, interval drinks with the press and VIP guests and a free programme.
Platinum ticket winners will be treated like royalty, and receive ten complimentary top-price tickets for the opening night of THE KING AND I. In addition to this, winners will also be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre, interval drinks with the press and special guests, the opportunity to meet the cast and a free goodie bag.
For those who aren’t lucky enough to find a Golden or Platinum ticket. Curve is also giving away £10 Silver tickets to the first 500 new customers to ring 0116 242 3595 and join its mailing list.
“Our brand new season includes a World Premiere of a thrilling dance piece, two critically-acclaimed plays by the award-winning Brian Friel and new productions of two spectacular musicals.
