Black and white 2 is a “Sim God” game where you have the power to become good or evil. You start off in the tutorial on a small island where you choose your creature. You can choose either an ape, a lion, a wolf or a cow. You can mould this creature into whatever you want by treating it nice, treating it badly or by its diet, which can be meats i.e. animals or your loving citizens, grain, trees and rocks (?) or if you have really bad taste… its own faeces.

The aim of the game is to defeat the horrifically evil Aztecs and their almighty ape creature and all the other factions they have converted that destroyed most of your people. You save about 20 of your people and then the rest unfortunately… get killed… but all is not lost! 20 people can still fight the Aztecs right? Of course not… that’s why you have to rebuild your forces by collecting resources and… “breeding” your loyal worshipers.

You can get a whole range of buildings from dark Hovels to beautiful villas and hotels to luxury baths. But these are just some things to keep your villagers happy. There is still the defeating the armies of the Aztecs problem. That is where the new aspect of the sequel to the first B&W game comes in. The Barracks, the Archery Range and the Siege works! Yes that’s right your people can now fight against the enemy themselves in their glorious armour!

There is also one more thing I forgot to mention… The miracles. You can select your miracles from your “town centre”. These miracles include the beautiful heal and water miracles and the deadly fireball and meteor miracles to crush your enemy with.

I think this game is quite good because of the freedom, but sometimes too much freedom can get frustrating, like when your trying to throw a miracle at someone to start a meteor strike and it goes into your allies base… or worse… your own town.
