Starring: Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, David Wenham.
Australia is a captivating film leaving you glued to your seat staring at the well known Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and many more. Australia has been rated 5 * and is bound to entertain anyone, the storyline in places can be rather difficult to follow although don’t let this put you off! Australia was shot in some of the most breath taking places on earth with beautiful scenery and amazing stunts and dramatic scenes. Australia is a film like no other in my opinion and is rather emotional in some parts !
Storyline:
The underlying plot behind Australia is mainly a love story ,adventure also plays a large part in this film with dramatic action scenes however some parts of the film can be quite the opposite. It all starts when Lady Sarah a posh high class lady, flies to Australia to find her husband who is out in the cattle business. She suspects when she gets there that he is having an affair although to her shock her is dead. Along her travels she meets Drover who is a dirty grimy but down to earth chap who is rather charming and flirtatious.
While out living in her husbands cattle ranch she meets a little boy called Nallah and his Mother who unfortuantely dies. Nallah whose mysterious magical behaviour intrigues Lady Sarah is now adopted by her as they fight through the toughest of times, and put their lives on the line although in the end Drover, Nallah and Sarah are reunited and become a family although Nallahs great grandfather who holds such a mystical powerful magic insists he lives with him it is hard however Sarah and drover let him go.
Australia is just truly an amazing film and really leaves you feeling happy, this film would mainly benefit adults and teenagers, the acting in the film was truly incredible with such passion and meaning they put so much effort into their screenplay especially Nicole Kidman, who just recently has found herself in quite a lot of films.
I would advise anyone who enjoys a war, adventure romantic films to view Australia you wont be disappointed ! So don’t miss out on what I think is the best film of 2009.
