Formed in 1999 the American four piece rock band from Stillwater achieved their first main success with their debut self-titled album, The All American Rejects, which was released in 2003 and had the hit single “Swing, Swing”. In 2005 they then released their second album “Move Along” which produced three hit singles; “Dirty Little Secret”, “Move Along” and “It Ends Tonight”.

After listening to the fantastic hit single “Swing, Swing” in 2003 I expected a great album full of memorable and varied songs, and admittedly I was more than impressed with only listening to the CD for a few hours, the opening track “Dirty Little Secret” is a great introductory song with catchy verses and an upbeat chorus which is easy to listen and sing along to.

“Move Along” is quite an uplifting track along with the uniqueness of experimenting with different sounds throughout the song; it also has a memorable chorus along with some relevant and meaningful lyrics.

My main favourite out of the album “It ends tonight” starts with what appears to be a ballad but soon picks up throughout the song and becomes quite fast-paced, it has some great lyrics that stick in your mind and is definitely one of the more memorable songs in the album.

Another one of my favourites “Change your mind” has an ongoing rhythm which makes it an extremely catchy song, one of the main things that I love about this track is the great lyrics, along with a great guitar solo near the middle of the song.

"Dance Inside" begins with some great vocals and also has a catchy chorus, but ends up going into a standard rock fare which put me off the song a little.

Overall this album has not disappointed me in the slightest and still has a special place in my CD collection; it’s certainly tempted me into buying their other albums and if you’re into bands such as Green day or Blink 182, I would definitely recommend buying this album straight away!
