Playstation 2 Ginetta GT Junior Championship

"Ginetta, founded in 1958, has teamed up with SOny and the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) to create the Playstation 2 Ginetta GT Junior Championship for 14 - 16 year olds.

The 95bhp cars, which use Ford engines and gearboxes and run on Dunlop tyres, cost £12,900 plus VAT.

Add to this the cost of training, racing licence qualification, fuel and accomodation and drivers should be able to contest the championship for £15,000 - £20,000.

At the end of the season, which starts on July 2 at Croix-en-Ternois, France, before heading for Brands Hatch on July 30 and 31, the car could be sold to recover some of the costs.
